Today, after three solid evenings of work, we have two of three vintage PPG Waveterms rebuilt and working again.
The first – the 8” drive one – belongs to someone of note, and had boot issues and power supply problems. The second is my own – bought cheaply because it had been dropped and put into long-term storage for decades. It had a memory fault, physical damage, and the usual toasted power supply.
All sorted and just needing boot disks, which I don’t have.
Next up – a Waveterm B which belongs to the VSM. That should be done in a week or so.
